Micky Mous – Impossible Stainless Steel Sculpture (Original Design)

Micky Mous

Micky Mous is a handcrafted stainless steel sculpture based on an original geometric design by Werner Stanggaßinger.

The object can be presented in three different orientations.

Two of these positions require a base, while one position is self-supporting. From the front and from the back, the optical illusion remains coherent in all configurations, creating a consistent impossible appearance from defined viewing angles.

The sculpture translates a two-dimensional conceptual drawing into a precise three-dimensional form.

Although physically real and structurally stable, its visual logic challenges spatial perception.

The object is manufactured entirely from solid stainless steel. All elements are precisely cut, welded, aligned, and finished by hand with a satin surface to preserve the intended geometry.

Due to its compact size and modular construction, the sculpture allows multiple distinct viewing and photographic perspectives.
